I used to have to deal with WDM post office.. Waukee is a night to day difference. The counter staff is friendly & helpful. You can reach them on the phone. They have been above & beyond helpful when I needed it.
Normally the mail person brings my package to the wrong apartment and then they knock on my door, or I have someone else's package in my mailbox. Now they don't even check to see if the package drop off boxes at apartments work. Sad establishment.
If you need to send something off, do not use the Waukee location if the redhead is the only one behind the counter. You’ll be wasting your time. She just spent 45 minutes hand-stamping over 60 envelopes for one dude when she was the only one behind the counter, and the line was 15 people long. I must have watched 20+ more walk out because she took so long. The gentlemen that work there are speedy and efficient, but I won’t be going back to this location if that woman is working.
I came in around 4 pm on Friday (the post office closes at 4:30) to mail my wedding invites. I had to buy and apply the stamps for the outer envelopes and it wasn't until 4:20 that I asked Deborah at the counter to hand cancel the invites. I didn't realize that she had to do it right then and there, but she was willing to do so even with 10 minutes until they closed. I was very appreciative of her willingness to hand cancel the invites while still helping last minute customers who came in before the end of the day.
